It’s not worth it, the whole city government is corrupt. I passed three times starting in 84 and passed. I found out that they was giving black males score to females to make a quote and I also was testing the point that you had to be a voter to get the job so I would not register to vote. Yes say how do I know I passed then, glad you asked. If you pass someone will call and welcome you to the force just before voters registration come back. Just the biggest gang in blue!!!!

I took it 3 times starting in 1984, I passed all 3 times but never got the job for 2 reasons. Reason 1) was because I did not register to vote and 2) they had to make up a female quote. Soon after they had a big class action lawsuit against them.

This is one of the most difficult professions of all, and CPD will always need good people with great character and integrity. Share this info with any young-or not so young-peope who would be officers you’d be proud to know. #bethechange

Wow if we missed the deadline when I took the CPD test in 1980 it was tough luck, try again in 5 or 10 years, and I scored a 97% but never called. Didn't know the right committeeman.

    We recognize Assistant Director René A. Dunn during#BlackHistoryMonthat CPD. Dunn serves as the Assistant Director in the Office of Constitutional Policing and Reform after previously spending six years as the Assistant Director of Recruitment and Retention. Dunn was also a StaffSergeant in the Illinois Army National Guard and served for 11 years. She received multiple military medals and awards while serving in the 133rd Signal Battalion, including a life-saving award.
